Announcements
No Announcements to display
We are pleased to offer an online system for parents and faculty at Millwood school.  Parents will access "Report Cards" online.  These are created quarterly and parents will be notified when they are available to view by e-mail.  Any parent who does not have access to the Internet should notify the office as soon as possible and we will arrange for a hard copy to be available for you.

Parents of Lower School Students will only be able to view the "Report Card," announcements and attendance.  Parents of Upper and Middle School Students will also be able to see Class schedules and grades for their student in addition to Attendance, Report Card and announcements. If you have more than one student, you will be able to view all students once you have logged on.

NetClassroom FAQ
Q. What is my username?
A. Your username is the same as your username for www.millwoodschool.org
This will be in the format of SallySmith or JamesClarke, just subsitute your name
If you find this does not work, try all lower case e.g. sallysmith
If you have a nickname, this may have been used - e.g. RobSmart
If you still cannot access/ remember, contact webmaster@millwoodschool.org or call 804 639 3200 and we will look it up for you.

Q. What is my password?
A. All Passwords were initially set as Midlothian23112
This is case sensitive.
Please change your password the first time you log on to something which is memorable for you.  You can do this in the "Administration" tab, then Change Password.

Q. When will grades be posted?
A. Faculty will post grades at least twice per month - on the 15th and 30th.  Some Faculty will post grades more frequently and some will only do it on these dates. In the September grades are not expected to be posted until the 30th.

Q. When will Report Cards be available?
A. Report Cards will be posted quarterly. The end of the grading periods are marked on the school calendar (online) and the Report Cards will be published the following Friday.

Q.

The grade which was posted during the quarter is not the same as the grade on the Report Card?

A. The grades posted during the quarter may change and the one which is on the Report Card is the Final grade.

Q. Why would a grade change?
A. Sometimes a teacher may decide that they are not going to do a project/quiz/ test/ homework which was planned at the begining of the quarter and this affects the balance of the grades for the other components for the class. e.g. A math test did not happen because we had 3 snow days.  It is only a week from the end of the quarter, so the teacher decides not to do this test, but just to go with the other 6 that have already taken place.

Q. I cannot see a grade for my 4th grade student?
A. Grades are not posted for Lower School Students.

Q.

A "hold" message shows for my student in Lower School.

"This student is on hold and is not allowed to access grades for the following reasons:

Lower school grades are not available until Report Cards. - Please have the student contact webmaster if you have further questions to address this situation."

What does this mean?

A. Don't worry!
We are not posting grades for Lower school.  The "Hold Code" is a temporary solution and this message should be removed over the next few months as we work with the provider of NetClassrooms to present a better solution.

Q. Not all assignments are posted on NetClassroom?
A. Some faculty may choose to display some assignments only on the Class page on www.millwoodschool.org.  Students currently have access to the Millwood website, but not NetClassroom.  This may change in the future.

Q. I can log on, but I am not sure how to see grades/ Report Card/ attendance?
A.

There is a FAQ on NetClassroom which deals with these type of questions.  It is in the drop down under "Administrative".  You should be able to get directions here to help you.

Q. Will I get an e-mail everytime a grade is posted?
A. No.  You will get an e-mail when Report Cards are available, but not for individual grades.
