Welcome to Millwood School.
Many people have told me that they felt comfortable here from the moment they walked in our front door. As families learn more about us, become active volunteers, and work closely with the faculty and staff, those feelings grow even stronger. The Millwood community is one in which students and adults have the luxury of knowing each other well. We are committed to limiting class size as the main variable that enables us to offer an education in this supportive environment that is unique to Millwood School.
A college preparatory, independent, coed, day school, is the official description of who and what we are. Our full core curriculum, enhanced with many special subjects, and integrated as much as possible, is only a small part of what we offer students. The extra curricular sports and clubs, consistent character education, and community service, provide a richly textured school life that helps students grow and blossom. We currently specialize in the education of children from Junior Kindergarten through Elementary,Middle school and Upper School.
Millwood School is now accepting applications for 9th-12th grade students
who are seeking a rigorous, college preparatory high school curriculum. Those pioneering students who graduated in 2013 and have paved the way for others to follow. Grade 12 was added in the fall of 2012. The growth into an Upper School
is an exciting step for Millwood which now celebrates its 25th year.
Our school is based in Chesterfield County, Virginia, part of metro Richmond. Our campus is on 79 acres adjacent to the Woodlake Community in Midlothian. If you are relocating to the Richmond area, or just considering a private school for your child, we would be delighted to show you around and share with you the welcoming atmosphere and positive ethos which makes our school special.
