Millwood Middle School provides:
- V.A.I.S. accredited academic programs, with a Middle School program based on leading research in middle school education
- Small classes, averaging 14 students, with a strong Advisory Program
- Academic courses which meet students where they are and take them as far as they can go; for able students this includes Algebra 2 and other advanced options.
- Three years of foreign language (choice of French, Spanish or Japanese)
- Classes in technology, art, music, and physical education
- Integrated units across the curriculum
- Athletic team opportunities for any interested middle school student (Over 80% of our middle school students choose to play on a school sports team)
- An environment of respect, self-discipline, good conduct, and responsible work ethic

- An excellent basis for high school and college. Our graduates are successful at the finest high schools in the area, including the Chesterfield County Specialty Programs, the Governor's Schools, and the area’s leading independent schools.
- Scheduled classes until 3:30 p.m., (5:00 p.m. with sports practices); Extended Day programs from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Sixth grade is a natural entry point into Millwood. Acceptance in each Middle School grade is based upon the applicant’s academic record, testing results, and space availability. |
