Millwood Middle School provides:

• V.A.I.S. accredited academic programs, with a Middle School program based on leading research in middle school education 


• Small classes, averaging 14 students, with a strong Advisory Program 
  
• Academic courses which meet students where they are and take them as far as they can go; for able students this includes Algebra 2 and other advanced options. 
  
• Three years of foreign language (choice of French, Spanish or Japanese) 
  
• Classes in technology, art, music, and physical education 
  
• Integrated units across the curriculum 
  
• Athletic team opportunities for any interested middle school student (Over 80% of our middle school students choose to play on a school sports team)

Sixth grade is a natural entry point into Millwood. Acceptance in each Middle School grade is based upon the applicant’s academic record, testing results, and space availability.
