Just for Kids

Young Chefs

Enrollment: K-2

Dates: Session I: June 21-25

Instructor: Cheryl Lewis

Bring your own creativity and join us to explore what mixes with what to make tasty treats. You’ll be sure to take home some scrumptious summer sensations. This week will be filled with ooey, gooey, yummy in your tummy fun! With a decorative personalized apron and cookbook created by you and your class in hand, you’ll be sure to continue the fun at home all summer long!


Drawing for Detail: Rainforest Life

Enrollment: K-2

Dates: Session II: June 28-July 2

Instructor: Jeanne Tyler

Spend a week drawing animals and plant life found in the rainforest. This art class offers a unique opportunity for your child to learn to draw from photos using a very detailed, systematic approach. You will be amazed at what your child is able to produce after this class!


Story Journeys: Summer Fun

Enrollment: K-2

Dates: Session III: July 6-9

Instructor: Lisa Payne

Do you like to read? Do you enjoy arts and crafts? Well, let’s put them both together and have some FUN! Come explore all things associated with SUMMER through books! Each day we will share a picture book or an excerpt from a chapter book. We will then create a piece of art or a craft that the story inspires. We will also learn about the jobs of an author and illustrator.


Superhero Training Camp

Enrollment: K-2

Dates: Session IV: July 12-16

Instructor: Sarah Brickley & Donna Kelly

 Get ready for an adventure of heroic proportions while learning to be a superhero. Your heroes get strong and mighty in the gym and build super-smarts exploring science with interesting hands-on experiments. To make sure your superhero has all the right ingredients and is up to the task at hand, nutrition and cooking will be a part of the training as well. Designing individual capes, masks, and logos will be included to foster your superhero’s creative streak. There will be non-stop, action-packed fun for all!

Dates: Session VI: July 26-30
