5th Grade Linus Project

They had the opportunity to participate in Project Linus, an national non-profit organization whose mission is “to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afgans, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers.”

The students were pleased to be able to make three blankets and give them away, knowing that they would go to children who really needed them.  It was a perfect way for Millwood’s fifth graders to get in the holiday spirit.
