Who We Are

Millwood School is a thriving college preparatory school for students in Junior Kindergarten through 10th Grade. Our focus is educational excellence in a warm and nurturing environment. We are known for small classes and individual attention, a challenging and diverse curriculum, exceptional faculty, and a value structure that promotes honesty, integrity, and respect for others.

Millwood School admits students of average to superior ability. We believe that every child is unique and no two children learn in exactly the same way or on the same day. Our programs develop each child's individual gifts through personalized instruction, participation in activities, and close family-teacher interaction. We challenge students to be the best that they can be, intellectually, physically, socially, and morally.

We are located in Midlothian, which is part of Chesterfield County, Virginia. We have students from a broad catchment area, including Richmond, Chesterfield, Midlothian, Moseley, Powhatan, Crozier, Manakin-Sabot, Amelia, Chester and Colonial Heights.

“Millwood gives children the chance to be the best they can be. The school gives every child the opportunity to shine.” – L. N., Parent
