The mission of our school is dedicated to the growth of each student in a supportive environment that challenges the intellect, develops the body, and fosters moral values.

Philosophy

Millwood believes that each child is unique and that no two children learn in exactly the same way.

Guiding Principles

We believe in:

The Big Ten Code of Conduct

At Millwood School, the responsibility for good conduct rests on the student. Students follow a code of conduct called The Millwood Big Ten. Each student signs this pledge annually.

As a Millwood Student I will be a positive role model by:

  1. Striving for excellence in scholarship, leadership, and sportsmanship.
  2. Taking pride in my personal appearance and following the dress code.
  3. Striving for acceptable, healthful, and positive behaviors.
  4. Listening while others speak.
  5. Taking pride in Millwood School.
  6. Sharing.
  7. Doing my best to bring honor to Millwood School.
  8. Always showing respect for people and property.
  9. Being responsible.
  10. Using good manners, being kind and courteous and considerate of others.
At Millwood, no one has the right to keep a teacher from teaching or a student from learning. Anyone who chooses to do so loses the privilege of being in class.
