So What is the Annual Auction? Information for New Parents Each year, the highlight of the social and fundraising calendar is the auction. Enjoy fabulous food, while trying to keep ahead of fellow bidders trying to "outbid" you on silent auction items. Then experience the excitement of the live auction, when those one-of-a-kind, "too spectacular to put a price tag on" items are put before the eager bidders. Bids range from $25.00 to thousands of dollars. But even more than that, the auction is a wonderful opportunity for our Millwood Family to get to know one another. This year the auction will be on Saturday, March 20th, 2010, and will have a Cowboy theme. The auction is held in Robinson Hall, from 6:00 p.m.- 11:00 p.m. We encourage you to get involved in all of the following ways:
- attend the event - it's a lot of fun!
- bring your friends, family, and neighborsjoin the auction committee
- donate items or services to the auction (contact the Development Office)
- volunteer to help the auction committee
If you would like to donate an item to the auction, please print the donation form and submit the donation to Millwood School, attention the Auction Committee. All the money raised at the auction goes towards the annual operating expenses of the school. So come and have fun, and support the auction. The whole Millwood Community benefits. The cost of educating each student at Millwood School exceeds the amount paid in tuition. These additional costs are covered through the annual giving campaign, the annual auction, and other development (fundraising) efforts throughout the year. |
