 | The Millwood Vision
Millwood School produces accomplished, well rounded, and resourceful graduates, who measure up to their potential, lead principled lives, and strive to make the world a better place.

Investing in a quality independent school education is a significant financial commitment. However with careful planning it need not break your budget. Most families employ several strategies to keep the cost within reach.
Millwood recognizes the demands that tuition payments place on families, and recognizes that an independent school education is a major investment and one which often stretches a family’s resources. To assist families, Millwood offers a number of affordability programs including monthly payment plans and tuition insurance. Tuition assistance may also be available for accepted students, based on their level of need as assessed by FAST for financial aid.
Tuition Assistance Application Process
1. Beginning November 1, 2011, current families and new families may apply online for tuition assistance for the 2012-2013 school year.
2. The tuition assistance application should be completed online no later than February 1, 2012.
3. New applicants must apply for admission to Millwood School. After acceptance, applicants will be considered for tuition assistance. Families are encouraged to begin the tuition assistance application process at the same time they begin the Millwood School admission process. This will ensure that families meet the February 1, 2012 deadline.
4. Tax documentation must be received by FAST by April 15, 2012 for verification.
5. Millwood School reserves the right to alter a tuition assistance award if the tax documents submitted in April do not substantiate the FAST application.
Three Payment Plans In addition to the option of paying tuition in full in August, Millwood also offers families a three semester payment plan and a ten-month payment plan. This provides families with more opportunities to manage their payments.
Tuition Insurance Millwood offers a plan that allows parents to purchase tuition insurance for a nominal fee. If, for any reason, a student withdraws from Millwood during the course of the academic year, both parents and the school would be assured the continuation of tuition payments.
Local Banks Families may explore loan opportunities through their local bank.
Family Support Many families receive invaluable support from grandparents who are pleased to be able to invest in their grandchildren's future. Grandparents are warmly invited to tour the school, and be part of the admissions process. After enrollment, grandparents are always welcome at Millwood, and the Millwood Grandparents' Group arranges regular coffees and events.
Credit Card Parents may pay tuition with Amex, Discover, MasterCard or Visa.
In evaluating Millwood, it may be hard to place a value on the benefits. Just consider our vision. Our accomplished, well-rounded and resourceful graduates go on to achieve great things in high school and at college. Allocating resources to secure the best early education for your child enables them to develop the tools for success they will use the rest of their life. |
